LoreFuel

A reading companion

You read fourteen books last year. Name one you could talk about confidently for two minutes.

Most reading apps track that you read. LoreFuel tests whether you remembered — a short quiz on every chapter you log, and a graded recollection when you finish the book.

How it works

  1. 1 Scan a barcode, or search the title Either way the book lands on your shelf with its cover and chapter list.
  2. 2 Log what you've read Drag the mark down to where you got to. Skip anything you didn't read.
  3. 3 Answer a few questions Multiple choice and short answer, on the chapters you just logged — written so only someone who actually read them can answer.

When you finish a book

Write down what you remember, in your own words. LoreFuel grades it against the book and gives you a retention score out of five stars. Come back in three months and try again — the score is allowed to go down.

The rest of it

Some books won't have a quiz

If we can't find a reliable chapter breakdown for a book — obscure editions, self-published titles, anything nobody has catalogued — we won't invent one. You'll be told, and you can set your own chapter count or page range instead. Your reading minutes still count. There just won't be a quiz, and we'd rather say so than make one up.
